of <h1>External Commercial Borrowings can be increased under delegated powers within annual limits without a new Loan Registration Number.</h1> The enhancement of the External Commercial Borrowings (ECB) amount is permitted under delegated powers, provided it does not exceed the applicable annual limit for the automatic route for the current financial year. Additionally, the other parameters of the ECB must comply with existing ECB guidelines. Since this is regarded as a change in terms for the same ECB, no separate Loan Registration Number (LRN) is required for the enhanced amount.
