          <h1>Duties of the competition commission: eliminate anti competitive practices, promote competition and protect consumers while ensuring market freedom.</h1> The Commission must eliminate practices that adversely affect competition, promote and sustain competitive markets, protect consumer interests, and ensure freedom of trade among market participants. To discharge these duties it may enter into memoranda or arrangements with foreign agencies with prior Central Government approval and with statutory authorities or government departments domestically to facilitate enforcement and coordination.
