of <h1>Section 53H on Tribunal Vacancies Removed by Finance Act 2017; Originally Added by Competition Amendment Act 2007.</h1> Section 53H of the Competition Act, 2002, concerning vacancies in the Appellate Tribunal, was initially inserted by the Competition (Amendment) Act, 2007. It mandated that if a vacancy occurred in the office of the Chairperson or a Member, the Central Government must appoint a replacement in accordance with the Act's provisions, allowing proceedings to continue from where they left off. This section was later omitted by the Finance Act, 2017.
