Establishment of Competition Commission creates a corporate body with powers to hold property, contract and sue or be sued. The central government may, by notification, establish a Competition regulatory body as a corporate entity with perpetual succession and a common seal, empowered to acquire, hold and dispose of movable and immovable property, to contract, and to sue or be sued by its corporate name; the head office location is to be decided by the central government and the Commission may establish offices elsewhere in India.
