of <h1>Term Limits for Competition Tribunal Chairperson and Members Removed Under Finance Act, 2017; Section 53F Omitted.</h1> Section 53F of the Competition Act, 2002, which specified the term of office for the Chairperson and Members of the Appellate Tribunal, has been omitted. Previously, it stipulated a five-year term with eligibility for re-appointment, subject to an age limit of sixty-eight years for the Chairperson and sixty-five years for other members. This provision was initially inserted by the Competition (Amendment) Act, 2007, and later removed by the Finance Act, 2017.
