Approval of combinations: Commission may approve, modify, or direct non implementation to address adverse competition effects. Commission evaluates whether a proposed combination has an appreciable adverse effect on competition: it shall approve combinations lacking such effect, direct that combinations with such effect not take effect, or approve subject to specified modifications to eliminate adverse effects. If prohibition is directed, modifications are not implemented, or adverse effects cannot be removed, the Commission may order non implementation, declare the combination void, or require a remedial scheme; failure to act within the statutory period leads to deemed approval.
