An agreement was signed on September 9, 2024, following a request for proposal issued in April. The study aims to analyze key AI systems, market structures, competition issues, and regulatory frameworks in India and globally. It seeks to understand AI applications, assess risks and opportunities, and engage stakeholders for a comprehensive understanding of AI's impact on competition. The CCI's mandate under the Competition Act, 2002, includes promoting competition and protecting consumer interests.
