Verification of claims under liquidation: liquidator scrutiny, supporting evidence, and subsequent omission of the provision. Verification of claims under the liquidation process was originally handled by the liquidator, who had to verify claims submitted under section 38 within the time specified by the Board. The liquidator could also require any creditor, the corporate debtor, or any other person to produce additional documents or evidence necessary to verify the whole or part of a claim. The provision has since been omitted.
