<h1>Trustee Must Notify Creditors Within 21 Days to Convene Meeting Under Section 133 of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.</h1> The bankruptcy trustee must issue a notice within twenty-one days from the bankruptcy commencement date to summon a meeting of creditors, as per Section 133 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The notice must be sent to every creditor listed under Section 132 and include the meeting date, which cannot exceed twenty-one days from the commencement date. It should also provide forms for proxy voting and specify the method for conducting proxy voting, including electronic options. These provisions became effective on December 1, 2019.
