General powers of bankruptcy trustee include sale, proving claims, redemption and transfer powers under IBC. Section 152 vests the bankruptcy trustee with powers to sell estate property, give receipts, and to prove, rank, claim and draw dividends on debts comprising the estate; it further permits the trustee to exercise redemption rights over pledged or hypothecated property, to transfer securities or transfer recorded assets as the bankrupt could have done, and to deal with property in which the bankrupt is beneficially entitled.
