Micro and Small Enterprises disputes: Council-led mediation, then arbitration if no settlement, with national jurisdiction for suppliers. Any party claiming an amount due may refer the dispute to the Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council, which shall conduct mediation itself or refer it to a mediation service provider and shall follow the mediation statute's provisions. If mediation fails without settlement, the Council shall either take the dispute up for arbitration itself or refer it to an ADR institution; the arbitration will proceed under the arbitration statute as if grounded in an arbitration agreement. The Council or ADR centre has jurisdiction to act as mediator or arbitrator where the supplier is within its jurisdiction and the buyer is located anywhere in India.
