Mediated settlement agreements, once signed and authenticated, are final and enforceable like court judgments under civil procedure. Authenticated mediated settlement agreements signed by the parties are final and binding and, subject to statutory limitations, are enforceable under the Code of Civil Procedure in the same manner as a judgment or decree and may be relied on by parties or persons claiming through them by way of defence or set-off.
