Mediation service providers include bodies, authorities, court annexed centres and notified bodies, requiring Council recognition under the Act. Section 40 defines mediation service provider to include bodies or organisations conducting mediation and recognised by the Council, an Authority under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, court annexed mediation centres, and any body notified by the Central Government; clauses (b), (c) and (d) are deemed to be recognised by the Council, and mediation service providers must be recognised by the Council in the manner specified.
