Mediation exclusions: claims involving minors, criminal prosecutions, regulatory, tax and land acquisition disputes are excluded. The schedule lists categories of disputes not fit for mediation, excluding matters barred by other law; claims involving vulnerable persons and declarations of title against the Government; criminal prosecutions; disciplinary proceedings against regulated professionals; disputes affecting third party rights (with a narrow child interest exception in matrimonial matters); proceedings under specialized tribunals and regulators (environment, competition, telecom, electricity, petroleum and natural gas, securities); tax levy/collection/penalty disputes; land acquisition and compensation; and other central government notified subjects.
