of <h1>Mediator replacement after mandate ends under Mediation Act 2023: parties or provider must appoint within seven days or stop</h1> Upon termination of a mediator's mandate under section 12 of the Mediation Act, 2023, a replacement mechanism is prescribed. In mediations other than institutional mediation referred to in section 10(4)(ii), the parties may appoint another mediator within seven days from such termination, failing which the mediation cannot proceed with a substituted mediator under this provision. In mediations conducted under section 11, the mediation service provider must appoint another mediator from its maintained panel within seven days from such termination, ensuring continuity of the mediation through timely provider-led substitution.
