Mediation Act gives its mediation and conciliation rules overriding effect over inconsistent other-law provisions. The Act provides that its provisions on mediation and conciliation have overriding effect over inconsistent provisions in other laws or instruments, subject to enactments listed in the Second Schedule; the Central Government may amend that Schedule by notification, which will be deemed effective upon issuance.
