Council regulation power for mediation framework and procedural standards with Central Government approval, including mediator accreditation and online mediation rules. The Council may, with the previous approval of the Central Government and by notification, make regulations consistent with the Act to carry out its provisions, including rules on mediator qualifications and accreditation, conduct and ethical standards, procedures and fees for registration of mediated settlement agreements and their electronic depository, costs of mediation, online mediation process, appointment and terms for experts and officers, staffing and service conditions, recognition criteria for mediation institutes and service providers, and registration conditions for mediators.
