          <h1>Passenger data reporting required: mandatory submission of arrival manifests and passenger name records, with penalty for unjustified delay.</h1> A new provision mandates that the person-in-charge of a conveyance entering India, or any other person specified by notification, must deliver passenger and crew arrival manifests and passenger name record information to the proper officer in the prescribed form, manner and time, with manifests to be furnished before arrival for aircraft and vessels and upon arrival for vehicles; failure to deliver within the prescribed time without sufficient cause attracts a prescribed penalty.
