of <h1>Section 30A Requires Arrival Manifests for International Entries; Non-Compliance May Lead to 50,000 Penalty.</h1> Section 30A of the Customs Act, introduced by the Finance Act, 2017, mandates that the person in charge of a conveyance entering India from abroad, or any other designated person, must submit a passenger and crew arrival manifest and passenger name record information to the proper officer. This submission must be in the prescribed form, manner, and time. Failure to comply without sufficient cause may result in a penalty of up to fifty thousand rupees.
