of <h1>Amendments to Railway Claims Tribunal Act: New Section 9A, Expanded Jurisdiction, Updates to Sections 3, 13, 15, 24.</h1> The Railway Claims Tribunal Act, 1987, has been amended to integrate provisions from the Railways Act, 1989, and align with the Finance Act, 2017. Section 3 now includes references to Chapter VII of the Railways Act, 1989. A new section, 9A, stipulates that the qualifications and service conditions for Tribunal officials appointed post-Finance Act, 2017, will follow section 184 of that Act, while those appointed earlier remain under the original Act. The Tribunal's jurisdiction is expanded under section 13 to include powers from the Railways Act, 1989. Sections 15 and 24 are updated to reflect these changes.
