of <h1>New Section 96HA Transfers Pending Excise, Customs, and Service Tax Cases to New Authority After Finance Bill 2017 Assent.</h1> Section 96HA is added to the 1994 Act through the Finance Act, 2017, establishing a transitional provision. Upon the President's assent to the Finance Bill, 2017, all applications and proceedings pending before the former Authority for Advance Rulings concerning Central Excise, Customs, and Service Tax will be transferred to the new Authority. This transfer will occur at the stage each application or proceeding was at the time of the assent.
