of <h1>New Sections 6A & 15A Amend Debt Recovery Act: Changes to Officer Terms, Salaries, and Appointments Post-2017.</h1> The amendment to the Recovery of Debts Due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993, introduces new sections 6A and 15A. These sections specify that the qualifications, appointment, term of office, salaries, allowances, resignation, removal, and other conditions of service for the Presiding Officer and Chairperson appointed after the commencement of Part XIV of Chapter VI of the Finance Act, 2017, will be governed by section 184 of that Act. However, those appointed before this commencement will continue under the original provisions of the 1993 Act and its rules.
