Qualifications and terms of service governed by finance act provision; applies to members appointed after the provision's commencement. Section 9A provides that the qualifications, appointment, term of office, salaries and allowances, resignation, removal and terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members of the Appellate Tribunal appointed after commencement of the finance act provision shall be governed by that finance act provision, while Chairperson and Members appointed before commencement continue to be governed by the Armed Forces Tribunal Act, 2007 and its rules.
