Overtime pay must be at least double the normal wage rate when work exceeds the normal working day. Where an employee's minimum rate of wages is fixed by hour, day or a prescribed longer wage-period, work beyond the hours of a normal working day must be paid by the employer for every hour or part hour at an overtime rate of not less than twice the normal rate of wages.
