of <h1>Code on Wages, 2019: Employers Must Pay Undisbursed Dues to Nominee or Deposit with Authority in Case of Employee Death</h1> In the event of an employee's death or if their whereabouts are unknown, the Code on Wages, 2019 mandates that any undisbursed dues be managed as follows: the amounts should be paid to a nominated individual according to the established rules. If no nomination exists or payment to the nominee is not possible, the dues must be deposited with a prescribed authority. Once the employer either pays the nominee or deposits the dues with the authority, they are relieved of any further liability regarding these payments.
