Payment of undisbursed wages: employer discharged when sums are paid to nominated person or deposited with prescribed authority. All amounts payable under the Code that cannot be paid because the employee died or their whereabouts are unknown must be paid to the person nominated by the employee in accordance with rules, or, if no nomination exists or payment cannot be made to the nominee, deposited with a prescribed authority; payment to the nominee or deposit with the authority discharges the employer of liability.
