Burden of proof on employer to show payment when an employee claims unpaid wages or unauthorised deductions. Section 59 places the burden of proof on the employer where a claim alleges non payment or short payment of remuneration or bonus, or unauthorised deductions from wages; the employer must prove that the contested wages or bonus have been paid.
