          <h1>Appointment of Development Commissioner: government may appoint and staff SEZ administration with prescribed service terms.</h1> The Central Government may appoint an officer of prescribed minimum rank as Development Commissioner for one or more SEZs and may appoint additional officers and employees to assist the Development Commissioner for SEZs established by non-central developers, specifying their terms of service. The Central Government is authorised to determine salary, allowances and service conditions, including leave, pension and provident fund, for the Development Commissioner and all appointed staff.
