Public servant status for SEZ Authority members, officers and employees when acting under the SEZ Act. Members, officers and other employees of every Special Economic Zone Authority are deemed to be public servants when acting or purporting to act pursuant to the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 or the rules made under it, thereby bringing their official acts within the scope of the criminal law definition of public servant.
