of <h1>India Revokes Director's Role as Development Commissioner for IT SEZs Under Section 11 of SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has rescinded all previous notifications appointing the Director of Software Technology Parks of India as the Development Commissioner for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services Special Economic Zones. This decision was made under the authority granted by sub-section (1) of Section 11 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The notification was issued by the Department of Commerce on December 20, 2010.
