<h1>India Approves Agro-Based Special Economic Zone in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Covering 101.21 Hectares Under SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Government of India has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Agro and Agro-based products at Village Umariya, Tehsil Shahpura, District Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. M/s Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Kendra Vikas (Jabalpur) Limited proposed the SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ covers an area of 101.21 hectares and has been notified with specific land parcels. An Approval Committee comprising various government officials and representatives has been constituted to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ is also designated as an Inland Container Depot/Port effective from August 23, 2009.
