of <h1>Government Approves IT-SEZ in Gurgaon by Armid Developers Limited; Covers 11.6627 Hectares, Effective June 16, 2009</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services at Sector-106, Village Pawala Khusrupur, Gurgaon, Haryana. This approval, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, was granted to a private organization, M/s. Armid Developers Limited. The SEZ covers an area of 11.6627 hectares. An Approval Committee has been constituted, including various government officials and representatives from the developer. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot/Port effective from June 16, 2009, under the Customs Act, 1962.
