of <h1>New IT SEZ Approved in Kozhikode, Kerala: Boosting Tech Sector Under SEZ Act 2005.</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services in Pantheerankavu and Nellikode, Kozhikode District, Kerala. This initiative, proposed by Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited, received approval under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The SEZ spans 10.1210 hectares across specified survey numbers. An Approval Committee, chaired by the Development Commissioner and comprising various government officials, has been constituted to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective May 27, 2011, under the Customs Act, 1962.
