Composition of Securities Appellate Tribunal requires benches to include judicial and technical members and allows multiple sittings. The Tribunal must consist of a Presiding Officer and such number of Judicial Members and Technical Members as the Central Government may notify; jurisdiction is exercised by Benches, each including at least one Judicial and one Technical Member, constituted by the Presiding Officer, who may transfer members between Benches. Benches shall ordinarily sit at Mumbai and may sit at other places notified in consultation with the Presiding Officer.
