of <h1>Retired Allahabad Bank Chairman Appointed to Securities Appellate Tribunal in Mumbai, Effective November 4, 2003, for Five Years.</h1> The Central Government has appointed a retired chairman and managing director of Allahabad Bank as a member of the Securities Appellate Tribunal in Mumbai. This appointment is effective from November 4, 2003, and will last for five years or until the appointee reaches the age of sixty-two, whichever comes first. This decision was made under the authority granted by the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Economic Affairs, Capital Market Division, on October 30, 2003.
