Compounding of securities offences permitted by tribunal or court before or after proceedings commence under the statute. Section 24A permits compounding of offences under the securities statute that are not punishable by imprisonment alone or by imprisonment with fine, either before or after institution of proceedings, notwithstanding the Code of Criminal Procedure, and allows compounding by a tribunal or the court before which proceedings are pending.
