Validation of acts: past information sharing and settlement actions are deemed valid as if the amendments had always applied. A deeming provision validates any act or thing done, or purporting to have been done, under the principal statute in respect of calling for information from, or furnishing information to, authorities with functions similar to the Board (domestic or foreign), and in respect of settlement of administrative and civil proceedings, treating such acts as valid as if the amendments had been in force at all material times.
