of <h1>Retired IRS Officer Appointed as Member of Securities Appellate Tribunal Under SEBI Act Sections 15L & 15N.</h1> The Central Government has appointed a retired IRS (IT) officer as a Member of the Securities Appellate Tribunal in Mumbai. This appointment is made under the authority of Section 15L and Section 15N of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992. The term of the appointment will last until the appointee reaches the age of 62 or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. This notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Economic Affairs, Capital Market Division, on April 26, 2007.
