of <h1>Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh HC appointed as Presiding Officer of Securities Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai under SEBI Act.</h1> The Central Government has appointed the Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh as the Presiding Officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal in Mumbai. This appointment is made under the authority of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992. The tenure for this position is set for five years from the commencement date or until the appointee reaches the age of 68, whichever comes first. This notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Capital Market Division, on February 6, 2004.
