          <h1>Eligibility criteria for appointments now require Secretary or Additional Secretary rank and extensive industrial finance experience.</h1> The amendment to section 409(3) substitutes clause (a) to require that the appointee has been holding the rank of Secretary or Additional Secretary to the Government of India, and replaces clause (e) to require a person of proven ability, integrity and standing with special knowledge and professional experience of not less than fifteen years in industrial finance, industrial management, industrial reconstruction, investment and accountancy.
