<h1>Companies Must Prepare Consolidated Financial Statements Under Amended Section 129; Present at Annual General Meeting</h1> Section 129 of the principal Act is amended to require companies with subsidiaries or associate companies to prepare a consolidated financial statement in addition to their own financial statements. This consolidated statement must be in the same form and manner as the company's own financial statements and comply with applicable accounting standards. It must be presented at the annual general meeting alongside the company's financial statement. Additionally, a separate statement highlighting the key features of the financial statements of subsidiaries and associate companies must be attached. The Central Government may prescribe the manner of consolidating accounts.
