Beneficial ownership expanded: disclosure widened to include beneficial and significant beneficial owners of companies. Amendment expands the class of persons covered by section 216 to include those with beneficial interest in company shares and persons who are or have been beneficial owners or significant beneficial owners, by modifying clause (b) and inserting a new clause (c) to capture present or former beneficial interest holders and beneficial owners.
