Representative authority binds the party in labour proceedings, making the representative's acts attributable to the person appearing through them. A party who appears through a representative is bound by the acts of that representative under the Industrial Relations (Central) Rules, 2026. The rule fixes legal responsibility on the represented party for procedural and other acts done on its behalf by the authorised representative.
