Agent remuneration becomes payable on completion of the act, yet agents may retain monies received for goods sold. Absent a special contract, an agent's payment is due only on completion of the act; however, an agent who has received moneys on account of goods sold may detain those moneys even if not all consigned goods have been sold or the sale is not actually complete.
