Bailor responsibility: bailor liable to bailee for loss when bailor lacked authority to make, receive, or direct bailment. The bailor is liable to the bailee for any loss the bailee sustains when the bailor was not entitled to make the bailment, to receive back the goods, or to give directions respecting the goods.
