Agent's duty to follow principal's directions: liability for losses and requirement to account for any profits earned. An agent must conduct the principal's business according to the principal's directions or, absent directions, according to the prevailing custom at the place of business; if the agent acts otherwise, he must make good any loss sustained and must account for any profit that accrues from that departure.
