Bailee liability arises when goods are not returned, creating responsibility for subsequent loss or deterioration from that time. Bailee liability arises where, by the default of the bailee, goods are not returned, delivered or tendered at the proper time; from that moment the bailee is responsible to the bailor for any loss, destruction or deterioration of the goods.
