          <h1>Benami property law: Section 10 (bench constitution and jurisdiction) inserted 2016 and omitted by amendment in 2021.</h1> Section 10 of the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act, 1988-inserted by the 2016 Amendment-was omitted by the Finance Act, 2021 (effective 1 July 2021). The former section authorised constitution of Benches of the Adjudicating Authority, required two-member Benches as determined by the Chairperson, fixed the ordinary sitting in the National Capital Territory of Delhi with other places to be notified by the Central Government, and allowed the Chairperson to transfer Members between Benches.
