Benami property rules must be laid before Parliament for thirty days and can be modified by both Houses. Section 69 requires every rule and notification under the Act to be laid before each House of Parliament for a total period of thirty days, possibly across successive sessions; if, before the expiry of the immediately following session(s), both Houses agree to modify or annul the rule or notification, the instrument will take effect only in modified form or be of no effect, respectively, without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under it.
