Laying of rules and notifications before Parliament: parliamentary scrutiny may modify or annul rules, without affecting prior acts.
Section prescribes parliamentary laying and scrutiny for rules and notifications under the Act by requiring placement before each House for a total of thirty days across one or more sessions. If both Houses agree to modify or annul a rule or notification before expiry of the immediately following session, the rule or notification will operate only as modified or cease to have effect. Any modification or annulment does not invalidate actions already taken under the original rule or notification. The provision was inserted by subsequent amendment to the Act.
