of <h1>Manner of service of notice under benami law: permitted methods and authorised addressees, with operative effect on service validity.</h1> Section prescribes methods and addressees for service of a notice under the benami law: service may be effected by post or in the manner of a court summons under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. It specifies authorised addressees for different legal forms-individuals, managing partners or managers of firms, Karta or any member of a Hindu undivided family, principal officer of a company, principal officer or any member of other associations, and the person who manages or controls affairs of any other nonindividual entity. The provision reflects the amendment inserted by the 2016 Act, effective 01112016.
