Benami property law: the 1988 ordinance is repealed, but prior acts remain valid under corresponding Act provisions. Section 72 repeals the Benami Transactions (Prohibition of the Right to Recover Property) Ordinance, 1988 and provides that notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act, thereby validating prior acts and preserving continuity under the Act.
