Identity and authority card authorises registered broker employees to assist brokers, subject to issuance and validity conditions. The Identity-cum-Authority Card on Form H authorises a registered employee of a licensed customs broker to assist the broker or its authorised employees; it must record the bearer's photograph and specimen signature, the broker's name and customs station, and be signed and sealed by the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs. The card is valid for a statutory five-year period from issuance or until the broker's licence is cancelled, whichever is earlier, and requires registration of the employee in office records and a photograph supplied by the broker.
